With Half-Square Triangles and Flying Geese in two sizes, this pattern is a great choice for quilters wanting to sharpen their skills with these classic units. It’s approachable for anyone who has made a few quilts and is ready to move beyond simple squares and rectangles. The designer used Deb Tucker’s Studio 180 Design® Wing Clipper® and Tucker Trimmer® for the Flying Geese and HSTs, but full instructions are provided if you don’t have those rulers.FABRIC: Created by Deborah Edwards, Two by Two retells the age-old story of Noah and the Ark. This classic theme for little ones is updated with beautiful art in modern neutrals on trend for nurseries. Charcoal, pale blue gray, beige and cream characterize the collection. The featured panel is a perfect crib size at 36″ x 43″. Additionally, the book panel offered in Two by Two can be made into a soft book or deconstructed to create a readable quilt. A selection of mix and match prints featuring animals as well as unique blenders coordinate with the featured prints while a selection of Canvas prints complete the collection.100% cotton fabric. There are no substitutions in this kit!Skill Level: Confident BeginnerThe pattern recommends 5 yards of fabric for the backing assuming a 40″ width, or 2-1/2 yards if using a 108″ backing fabric, along with a 72″ x 86″ piece of batting. Additional fabric could be needed if using a directional print or fabric design matching. Backing fabric and batting are NOT included in this kit.A little over 6-3/4 yards of fabric is included in this kit along with the pattern.
